About Ceramiq® universal ceramic paints
Ceramiq® universal ceramic paints can be used as underglaze, inglaze (majolica), and overglaze paints. Their versatility and color diversity open up the limitless world of ceramic creation to you!
You can add water to the paint if the consistency is too thick for you - then the paint will be less opaque.
How can you use Ceramiq® universal paints?
-
When painting on biscuit (as underglaze paints): This way, you'll achieve precise patterns whose shape will be exactly the same before and after firing. Apply a clear glaze to the painted piece. The transparent glaze Tafla Szkła (CQ11507) worked best for us – it has a wide firing range (from 950°C to 1100°C) and combines well with various clays (it rarely cracks).
-
When painting on unfired glaze (as in-glaze/majolica paints), the patterns you paint may slightly change shape after firing – if the glaze you're applying the paint to is flowing, the painted pattern will change as well. As a white base for the paints, we recommend Bielik glaze (CQ20307) with Ceramiq Fix (thanks to Ceramiq Fix, the glaze doesn't flow and applies very smoothly).
-
When painting on fired glaze (as overglaze paints): paint the design onto the glazed and fired piece. Fire the painted piece at 950-980°C – the fired design will be exactly the same before and after firing. Painting can be done on clay and porcelain.

Expert advice
"Depending on the thickness of the paint, you will get a different shade - try applying 1, 2 or 3 layers and see how the effect changes."
The color shown in the photo is approximate; the reproduction depends on the monitor settings and printer used. The color and effect of the paint are influenced by the mass used, the glaze, the firing temperature, and the atmosphere in the kiln.

Shipping costs
Shipping costs
The cost of packaging and delivery depends on the type and weight of the products ordered.
To find out the price, complete your order and visit the shopping cart page. Below the product list, you'll see a list of available options and a summary of shipping costs.
If the total weight of the ordered items exceeds the weight limit for the selected shipping method, we will pack the order into two or more boxes. The shipping cost shown in the shopping cart always applies to the entire order and is independent of the number of packages.
Please remember that heavy parcels weighing over 30 kg are delivered to the building door and the courier is not obliged to carry them up the stairs.
The shipping price calculation system takes into account, among other things, the need for additional protection for goods that are easily damaged during transport. This applies especially to plaster molds, kiln shelves, liquid castables, etc. We pack shipments with the utmost care to ensure your ordered goods arrive intact.
